Na'eesh Mabath is a new peace building media project for Free Voice. The project will see the research and collection of traditional folktales and contemporary short stories from Pibor, Bentiu and Renk which explore traditional values and mechanisms for local peace building.
The stories will be produced as a radio series for national broadcast in Arabic language. The project will also see the formation of the beginnings of a user generated online anthology of traditional folk stories from across South Sudan.
We are looking for a full time radio producer, literate in Arabic and with excellent English communication skills.
The position will be for 11 months, juba based, with some travel to Renk, Pibor and Bentiu.
We are looking for a producer who is highly creative, imaginative and innovative, interested in exploring traditional cultures and will drive this project forward to success.
