Vacancies announcements at Intermon Oxfam - South Sudan Program

Intermon Oxfam is non Governmental organization with its Head Quarters in Barcelona, Spain and has been working in Southern Sudan since 1993.

Presently, Intermon Oxfam has three field offices; located in Kwajok, Wau and Luonyaker with coordination base in Juba town. Currently, Intermon Oxfam implements Food Security & Livelihoods, Education and WASH programmes with a specific partnership and collaboration objective of national non governmental organization, gender development and equity and sustainable programming. 

Intermon Oxfam is looking for qualified persons to fill the following positions:

1.Finance Assistant, Juba, Central Equatoria (6 months, renewable):

Profile required;
•Accounting skills and qualification (Minimum CPA II or equivalent) or similar qualifications.
•Excellent numerical and accuracy;
•Good communication skills in English with the ability to establish strong working relationships with multicultural team and Partners;
•Strong computer skills and experience including MS Excel, Access and Word;
•Relevant experience of over 2 years;
•Highly organized and able to prioritize under pressure;
•Knowledge of saga (Accounting software) is an added advantage.
2.Head of Programmes, Wau 65% & Juba 35% (6 months, renewable):

Profile required;
•Advanced degree in international development studies, humanitarian aid or other related topics;
•At least 5 years of proven programme management experience, and at least 2 years of senior management experience;
•Experience in both emergency and development contexts, and of working in conflict/post-conflict countries;
•Experience of working in integrated programmes with multiple donors;
•Proven experience in developing proposals and liaison with donors;
•Knowledge and experience in Formulation, Assessment Monitoring and Evaluation of programmes at country level;
•Knowledge of the Humanitarian Aid mandate and programme cycle management and planning.

3.Humanitarian Coordinator, Juba (6 months):

Profile required;
•Advanced degree in international development studies, humanitarian aid or other related topics;
•Significant field experience (at least 5 years) of humanitarian response work in a range of environments, including experience of field-level management of complex humanitarian response programmes and all phases of the project/programme cycle;
•Experience of designing and/or implementing Humanitarian Capacity Building strategy and activities;
•Significant field experience in emergency food security and livelihood programmes.
•Experience or at least understanding of Community Based Early Warning Systems and their links with Humanitarian Response will be a plus;
•Experience in Wash emergency programmes;
•Strong experience of linking humanitarian response to development programming, including policy and advocacy and of disaster risk reduction programming at all levels;
•Knowledge of humanitarian standards and conceptual guidelines and frameworks such as the Humanitarian Charter, SPHERE standards, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Code of Conduct;
•Willingness to travel extensively to field sites, and to work extra hours as necessary;
•Languages: fluency in English. Desirable: Arabic;
•Strong English writing skills;
•Previous experience in the country or in the region;
•Cultural sensitivity.

Salary: Salary and other benefits will be based on the existing Intermon Oxfam policy.
